After re-igniting his movie career with 'True Legend', actor Chiu Man Cheuk has landed a role in Chen Kaige's revenge-driven historical epic, 'The Orphan Of Zhao'. Cheuk is reportedly set to play a military commander and the father of the titular Zhao, who gets to partake in a number of realistic fight scenes.

The story for the film opens as the family of Zhao Wu is wiped out, all because an evil minister convinces the emperor that his father is a betrayer. Thankfully, Wu is saved and raised by a physician who sacrifices his own child to fool the minister. Several years later, when Zhao Wu grows up, the emperor has already passed away and has been succeeded by his son. However, Zhao Wu is well aware that the minister was responsible for the death of his family and goes looking for revenge..
