Silent Mourning of Haiti

On January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 10 miles (16 km) away from the capital city Port-Au-Prince. A tsunami warning was issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Pacific Tsunami Warning Center for outlying regions but was later cancelled. Multiple aftershocks have hit the area, including one measuring magnitude 5.9.

After the disaster, people in Haiti live outdoor.

A wounded woman was saved from a collapse bank.

Harrowing image from the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince on Thursday showed the horror facing rescue workers as recovered dead bodies littered the streets.
