Subject: Dragon Boat Pool Party Update: Thank You, Lost Property & Photos
To all ya party lovin', water soaking cowboys & Indians, outlaws & damsels out there,
On behalf of the Royal X-Team and Smugz, a HUGE HOWDY THANK YOU for coming along and making it such a fun, wet and (im)memorable fandango! As far as the Sheriff knows, there were no major casualties, no unfortunate incidences, and a lot of sore throbbing heads, which means that things went exactly according to plan.
A party of this magnitude takes a lot of planning, so a special mention of our appreciation goes to Carrie for her hard work in organizing the event; Leonie for pulling it all together; Simeon for being a crowd-pleasing MC; and Sophie & her troublemaking crew for coming up with those dangerously delicious shots of jellies.
Two people deserve the biggest round of applause though, for they probably did by far the most to organize the shenanigans of the night.
Jonny "The Enforcer" Cantwell: for planning the venue and keeping the peace, at least until 2 wanted thugs ambushed him into the pool at 10:30pm.
Charlie "The Sheriff" Nixon: the Royal X-Men's legendary captain was not there on the night, for whilst some of us were whisking whiskies in the saloons of wild Wanchai, Charlie and Jo became proud parents to a beautiful baby girl. We all wish you and your young family all the best, and look forward to meeting baby Liliana soon.
As for the best costume of the night, my vote goes to Sam "Desperate Dan" Freedman. All he lacked was the cow pie to make the mash!
And remember, those bruises and scars are just cowboy tattoos with better stories...

We are also very proud to have raised around $58,000 for Room to Read, a charity that envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education that enables them to reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world.
Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, they develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.

(Please also let Jonny know if you come across a black Canon Ixus 100 camera, it's mine and has lots of incriminating evidence on it, though not of me!)
